Maniakalani Film Festival

On Wednesday our whole class went on an adventure to Sylvia park. When we went to Maniakalani film festival  to watch all of the class movies.

When we walked into the theatre I saw hundreds of chairs. The theatre was dark with big red chairs. The big red chairs were relaxing and it looked comfortable like a marshmallows. The screen was so big, it was bigger than Mr Blakey and bigger than a dinosaur.

We watched movies made by our school on the big screen. The movie I liked was best of all was the real story of the three little pigs.  It was so exciting when I saw my best friends on the big screen.

Museum trip

Learning about Dinosaurs at the  Museum

On our trip to the museum we turned into paleontologists. The palaeontologists is like what they look for but they look for bones like fossil of like dinosaur fossil. If the dinosaurs steps in the sand that sinks they will sink to the bottom of the ground. They Use small brushes and big brushes to sand out the sand to get the dinosaur bones. When you have done that all you will see all of the dinosaur bones.

Jezakaia was holding Tyrannosaurpoo. We had to have a look at it then we had to smell it and then we had to stand up in front of the whole class and then jezakaia had to tell all the whole class what was it. Then he said I'm holding poo he said. Then the whole class was laughing and then we had to sit back down

Tyrannosaur skull. Nahea Was the same size like the Tyrannosaur skull because she was small like a little dinosaur that can fit in his big mouth.

The Hungry Caterpillar

The very hungry caterpillar was so hungry he eat one Apple and he was stil hungry he eat two pears and he keeps on eating and then he was so fat he turned into a Chrysalis then it turned into a beautiful butterfly

P.E

I like P.E because you get to do lots of different activities. Like rob the nest, throwing under arm and overarm. We got to be the first class to do activities first we went to rob the nest. Then we lined up to go to the next activities. The second one we went to was you have to throw two balls then you have to run around into the hoops. If they got both balls in the hoops you have to stop. 

Navy band

Today the navy band came to PTengland school we were having lots fun we sang up town funk and happy. My favourite part was spongebob square pants because we got to sing his favourite song. We were dancing around a lot. They had prizes to give out to people but they had to say some questions if you get it right you had to go and stand next to the people and you got to test them if there on tunes. 

My best day in the holidays

Wow! What an exciting day I had on had on Thursday because I went with my mum and my dad to farmers and I brought some new socks and the colors were red, yellow, blue, green.

The best thing that happened was that I got to choose anything I wanted so I chose like chocolate and other things too. But my mum didn't have that much money to buy my stuff. I chose to get a scooter because it was $25. We went to the counter, then they scanned the scooter. They put it in a plastic bag and we went home.

I felt so excited when we went home because I was playing on my scooter. The  color was pink and purple. I got to have lots of turns on my scooter.

Politician

If you want to be a politician you will have to work very hard. You have to go round to the people houses and knock on there door and stand on the side of the road and the sign will say vote for me. You have to go to campaign meetings and try and try to let them vote for you because they will come and say poo, but some people will say yeah go you can do it and you have to.

Politician work in both Wellington and their local electorate. The taxes that comes from our parents goes to the politician to give to the president and then the president gives it to the poor people and the people that is in hospital. 

Firefighter David

  If you want to be a firefighter you have to fill out a long form and do all kinds of tests. You have to be a good firefighter because you have to rescue a dummy for 8 minutes. You have to run up and down the stairs after that you have to drag a hose. Then you have to pull up the ladder and you are going to have a heavy tank on your back and you have to concentrate on your job and be strong if you want to be part of the team.

Firefighters respond to emergency calls in a variety of ways.

If you are in a car crash call the firefighters has special tools to cut them out of the car and have long ladders to save the cats from the trees and save people in the fire.

Fire trucks are like a moving tool-box. A fire truck carries a long hoses a pick-axe, gas masks a siren a heavy oxygen tanks a ladder and a first aid kit and a powerful engine. A fire truck is red  and a little bit white and it is cool if you want a ride on it.

I would like to be a firefighter because they do lots of cool stuff like rescue people, put out fire, pull-up the heavy ladder. The people call the firefighters to put out the fire and rescue people from getting sick.

The very hungry Caterpillar

There was a catapult it was very hungry turned in to a chrysalis and it turned into a beautiful butterfly.  

Police man

In new zealand the police wear navy caps, with a badge on it . Police wear a cap, badge ,pockets they also wear a belt. The police has handcuffs on their belt.

The police keeps us safe on the roads and in our community. The police cheek the pople licenses and they also stop drunk people from driving to people neighbourhood.

I remember when I met a police man . My Aunty was at home and my cousin ran away. And he took my scoter with him and my Aunty was so upset. So she could the police man and he was in the back of the car

One hen

Kojo is a hard working boy that came from Ghana who is very poor. When Kojo father passed away he sold firewood to help his family raise money.

When his mother received a loan from some village families, she gives a little money to her son. Kojo saved his money to buy twenty five hens. He sold the hens eggs at the market. Kojo sells his eggs at the market and buys more hens.

Kojo sold lots of eggs and brought hundreds of hens. The chicken farm has lots of chicken inside it.

Kojo started a trust that gives out small loans to people who cannot get a loan from the bank. Kojo earned money buying and selling eggs to people and they will get a new life.

Robin Hood

 A long long time ago there was a boy named Robin Hood he lived in Sherwood Forest and they had a big town called Nottingham. Robin Hood stole some money to give to the poor people the poor people didn't have any money so Robin Hood gave them some money to buy some food. One of the outlaws was the first one to hear about the new of the contest. Robin Hood had a disguise to go to the contest he was wearing all black for the disguise the archers  were there.

Robin Hood was in a contest with targets and the arrows Robin  Stepped up to the line and he took a careful aim he did it 4x and one of the  arrows of the nose broke Robin won  the cup and the soldiers were walking up to Robin and they said,"stop right there."

The soldiers were chasing after him but Robin got away and he was showing off his cup.

I want earrings!!!

There was a little girl named Carla. She wanted some earrings. But her mum and dad said no one in our family no one has had earrings before. So Carla didn't want much. Carla had a friend named rosa and she had earrings. Carla asked Rosa when she got her earrings in did it hurt.

But she said her mum came with her but it didn't hurt a little bit because my mum was near me the whole time. Carla mum said no one in our whole family has had earrings before. But Carla has to wait until she was a grownup.

Milo tasted yummy delicious and chocolate.

Making Milo

Number 1. Get a heatproof cup and then put one teaspoon of milo into it.

Number 2. Boil the jug until it is 1/2 then pour it into the heatproof cup.

Number 3. Mix it with the milo and the hot water in it.

Number 4. Then put milk into it.

Number 5.There you go you have a delicious milo to drink.

Jack Frost come to pt england school

Last night Jack  frost came to Pt England school and he froze the grass. The frost is glistening in the sun.

Maui and the sun

Once upon a time there were five brothers and a boy named Maui.

Maui went fishing and hunting. They had no time to eat their food because the yellow bright burning Ra went down and he couldn't eat.

Then Maui called his brothers and he had an idea.They went behind the enormous rock and Maui said, "we can make flax ropes." "When they're ready we can go back to the enormous rocks," said the brothers. Maui said,"I will count up to three 1,2,3." They jumped out from behind the enormous rocks and he grabbed the flax ropes.

They chucked the flax  ropes onto the ra and they pulled and pulled. The ra pulled that way and pulled the other way."Stop, stop," groaned the ra, "you're killing me, can't you see I'm nearly dead." They didn't care. The ra went slowly and slowly on his way across the sky. Now Maui had lots of time to fish, hunt and eat they food all in the light of ra.

Colour Poem

My favourite colour is purple.

Purple tastes like grapes.

Purple smells like grape drink.

Purple sounds like grapes are getting eaten.

Purple feels like juicy  yummy soft grapes

looks like dark purple.

The weather

Auckland weather clouds are pouring down in New Zealand and Auckland has been having loud  smashed windows and having dark and gloomy wild weather and crashing cars and we will have a lot of mess  to clean in our house so we have to bring raincoats,gumboots and umbrellas. Nepal they had a earthquake.  In Auckland waves are going on to the roads and cars were going over them and making spaces. So make the kids stay inside because it will make them go freezing cold, my sister was rattling her teeth because she was freezing cold. It is like a shower storm. 25 May 2015 

The rainbow fish

The rainbow fish is shiney and sparkly with beautiful green,blue,orange,yellow,golden,black,red,

Purple and pink scales.The rainbow fish was lonely and she had no one to play with so she went to go and find them, then when she went she saw her friend. Her friend said "I only want to have one of your scales," then she gave her one, then her other friends came then she gave all of them one and there was one left. 

Rapunzel

Rapunzel had long bright hair. her hair was magical. It was Rapunzel's first time outside.

Rapunzel's is beautiful. Rapunzel tears are magical. Rapunzel lived in a beautiful tower.

She is clever. She sings a lot. I like rapunzel beautiful long hair 

Water fight

I asked my mum if I can  play with water guns. She said,"yes." We grabbed the water guns and then we attacked each other. My brother is so annoying because he makes lots of noise.We grabbed the hose then we  powerfully sprayed each other and we were soaking wet.

New Baby Princess

Princess Kate named her baby after her. That's why her baby's name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. She was born 08:34 on Saturday 2 May and when we were  watching the news  it said she is 4th in line to the throne and Charlotte has a brother.  She was born in London  2 May 2015.

The hokulea landed

Pt England went to greet the hokule'a. The hokule'a came to manaiakalani. We had to sit down on the wet grass when the hokule'a came they brant the shining bright sun. The sun shone down to the water. It was bright us it was so hot when we got down there at the end of the day. We sang lots of song's.Then we had to shake hands with the Hawain people.

The school picnic

On Friday Pt England school went to the school picnic. When we got there we were excited about the school picnic. We wanted to go down to the beach but we had to listened to Mr Burt.

After we had listened what mr burt had said then we went down to the beach and every one liked to play in the sandpit and the other people liked to play on the playground. We

went to have a great swim.
